What lies on the horizon is largely based on our choices, but so much can oftentimes only be assigned to Grace. The past two years have been disrupting, not only due to world events but in my personal capacity to the ups and downs which is life. As per the 3-year dream and plan I set aside, much has come to fruition :  

• This includes running my first 42km of which only my wife was there to celebrate as I cried and walked the last few inches to home.

• In addition, I have advancement to a senior position in my career, which somehow gives me some street cred, but has its own challenges.

• And furthermore, somehow I have managed to start to develop a passion for fly fishing. I still have a lot to learn and am a novice at most, but somehow in a world with less and less work balance, fishing will continue to give me the opportunity to zone out and connect with my Creator.

A lot however still remains untouched and I can as such, only pray that the right opportunities will be available. I also pray that I won’t be phased in such a manner to not take them as and when they occur.

  So what are my next steps:

• Finding mentors that will help me, I realize that I need people.

• Connecting and reconnecting with my Creator on a regular basis..

• Discovering the next value add responsibilities in day-to-day interactions and life.

• Refining and redefining my skillsets.

• Finding friends with the same passions I have.
